Device Description:
The ES-642 Remote Dust Monitor by Met One Instruments is a sensor designed to monitor real-time dust concentrations in both indoor and outdoor environments.
The ES-642 uses a high-sensitivity laser-scattering nephelometer with a measurement range from 0 to 100 mg/m³ (0 to 100,000 μg/m³). It provides monitoring for total suspended particulates (TSP) and offers optional cyclone filters for PM1, PM2.5, or PM10 particulate fractions.
The sensor connects via MODBUS and basic ASCII protocols through RS-232 or RS-485 communication. It can also communicate using Analog 0-10 V and 4-20 mA.
Air filtration system: The system keeps the optical components clean, allowing the ES-642 to operate in harsh environments without performance degradation.
The device is housed in a weatherproof enclosure, making it suitable for continuous outdoor use.
Automatic zero calibration: Reduces long-term measurement drift by automatically adjusting the zero value every hour.
Input air dryer: Actively controls incoming air humidity to reduce measurement errors.
The front LCD display provides information about dust concentration, intake flow rate, and device status.
The device is designed for easy wall mounting or attachment to a tripod.
